JOURNALISTS OF THE DAY
APRIL 21

Sunday 21th of April

After a night out of Marti Codolar, a new sunny day began for the group.

For some of them the night was rather short, for others not, some stayed in a Hostel with friends, some in luxurious Hotels. The morning started for the most of us later, because there was no breakfast at 8.00.

So, how did some of our group spend their free time on Sunday morning till our meeting ?

After a rather short night, the Flemish people left their hostel at 11 o´clock to eat breakfast and do some shopping. Later they meet again to go to the beach till our meeting at the cathedral.

The Germans were in a Hostel near the Plaça Catalunya, and they went to la Rambla to meet a friend of them and to eat breakfast. Then they went to a flea-market in the old city. Later they arrived very punctual at the cathedral.

Some of the French speaking people stayed the night in a Hostel and in the morning they said goodbye to new friends they got to know. They went to the sea to look the ships and boats, then they went to the beach. Afterwards they ate some pancakes and did some shopping in the city.

The Lithuanian girls, who stayed in the same Hostel as the Germans went to Starbucks at first. They went to the city to do some shopping and enjoyed to do nothing but walking around.

The people from Barcelona enjoyed to be at home with their families.

The Hungarians did some sightseeing, some churches for example, or went to the beach as well.

Two of the Danish people, who spent the night in a Hotel, had a relaxed day eating Pizza and just staying in the sun of Plaça Espanya.

And how did it go on …

Later the group had to gather around at the stairs of the Cathedral. There we did a workshop with Denise (the Flemish teacher).

What did we have to do at the workshop ?

Denise said that we had to make the letters of ‘Barcelona’. She stood with her camera at the stairs. There were crosses and lines drawn on the ground. This was the place where we should make the letters in.

We had to make these letters with our body. With each letter we could look at the picture in front of us to orientate ourselves. When the letter was good, Denise signed us to go to the next letter. This was a very good activity because we all communicated with each other. We tried to fill up the holes and helped each other to find our places.

Denise will montage this video and speed it up.

Did we do anything else ?

We also made a jumping stop motion video. This was in the three big groups. We had to think about a way to jump. Every group had his own way of jumping. Denise was standing down the stairs with her camera. We had to do one step and jump together. Every time there was one person joining the line until everybody jumped out of the picture. The C-group jumped with the whole group together and changed places every time.

Denise  montaged these photo’s into a stop-motion video. Later we watched this video. She did a great job !
