Journal of the day: Thursday 25/04/2013

At 9 am we started our day and every group went to the kindergardens to do the "treasure" box with the children. A "treasure" box is something what the children create to keep in memory what that did the day before.

In the school of the group C was divided in three. The ‘treasure boxes’ was based at the activities that were made in the day before, as it been referred. The three groups work the senses, the body movement and the search for details (concentration). The activities were made in two rooms, one with one group and the other with two. The children were switching at the end of each activity.

The group that worked the senses remember the sounds that they’ve heard with the mp3 sound and the touching and smelling with some exemplars that the students from I.P brought. The assignment was to draw what they liked the most with the possibility of using the ‘frotage’ technique.

The group that worked the body movement remember the group of what they had done by proposing the assignment of make some sculptures of aluminum.

Finally, the group that worked the concentration remember the group by give them the images that  they’ve seen in the day before and do the continuation by drawing the rest of the picture.

As a final result, everybody was very coordinate and the exercises were complementary and successful.

In the school of group A the children were also divided into two big groups. Both groups works around mosaics. Before making the mosaics, they make a collage of what belongs to the city and what to the park linked to the activity of the day before. They also let the children draw on music (from a music artist they met in the park).

In the school of group B they worked around the activities they did the day before. The difference between the others is that they used another form of reminding. They used pictures from the day before and thing/talk about what they there did and saw. Next to this activity they sang and played games. At the end of their time with the children they do some relaxation and sang again.

After a long day in the city the last exercise we needed to do at the Seminary Marti Codolar was mosaic of ideal school and put some keywords on it. Every group imagine dream school very different but the values of each group was very similar. The task had to be done in only thirty minutes. The objective was to create something together and everyone was succeeded.
